Two of Dynamic Footy Skills Coaches will be involved in the match. Hayley Gossow (top) is on the Collingwood coaching staff, while Kate Sheirlaw (bottom) is Carlton Ruckman. Both Hayley and Kate are well respected coaches within the DFS landscape, and we can’t wait to have them involved in a number of our 2018 programs.
We are lucky enough to get an insight into the match from the 2 girls. See below:

Collingwood and Carlton hold a traditional rivalry that is no different in the women’s competition. This year, ex-Collingwood defender Nicola Stevens will be lining up for the Blues, stoking the fire of the rivalry between these teams. Expect a blockbuster start to the season with a full capacity crowd at Ikon Park, and both sides coming out with all guns blazing to claim the first win of the season. Players to watch – the Hosking twins lining up together in the midfield for the first time at Carlton; Chloe Molloy, Collingwood’s first pick of the 2017 NAB AFLW draft; and Mo Hope who is fitter, stronger, and raring to set the competition on fire

“Friday night holds so much anticipation, as we take on Collingwood in the first game of the new season. The excitement and buzz around the group and club is immense and i’m sure it’s no different down at the Holden Centre. Let’s hope there is a lockout crowd again, an exciting game to watch and another Carlton win!”
