140 players of all ages and talents came from all around Melbourne to complete DFS School Holiday Programs held during the recent Easter School Holidays.
Ben Lennon (Richmond FC) and Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne FC) joined DFS expert coaches to help lead players through various skills sessions, match play games and some fitness testing mirroring what AFL draftees go through.
A range of ages took part in the full day of activities. The Under 9-10s completed the exclusive DFS ‘Learn Thru Fun’ program. The older ages groups of Under 11-13s completed the more advanced DFS ‘Games for Learning’ skill development program.
As always, players enjoyed a competitive match to wrap up the day’s activities. Players also received their own brand new DFS footy, so they can keep practising their newly learnt skills at home.
DFS School Holiday Programs will be held throughout Melbourne during the upcoming July School Holiday period. All details will be released via our Facebook page and on Holiday Program page.
