A boost before Round 1 – PTP Wrap

Over 75 talented players gave their preparations for the 2015 season an ideal boost completing the six-week DFS Pre-Season Training Program last month.
The ever-expanding program was held in three locations around Melbourne – Bulleen, Bundoora, and Mt Eliza.
As one of DFS’ elite-level programs, players enjoyed the full array of expert coaches and the chance to challenge themselves against other dedicated and talented players.

Game-sense training, decision making and footy fitness were the primary focuses throughout the intensive twelve-hour program.
The combination of the proven DFS game-sense training and expertly tailored strength and conditioning from DFS Strength and Conditioning gurus provided participants an invaluable edge going into the new season.
Players also checked what aspects their footy fitness could improved, completing an AFL-styled Draft Combine Fitness Testing session.
To cap off the program, players from each training locations were combined into specially selected teams to put into practice the lessons learnt in the program in a matchday environment. The gameday finale was held on Friday April 10 at Ivanhoe Park.
Dynamic Footy Skills General Manager Jarrad Carey said the program continues to provide participants the ideal lead-up to round one.
“For those players who are really serious about their footy, the PTP is great. The sessions get them thinking about their footy at a different level and also provides them with a little head start on their opponents.”
